The biennial North American Orienteering Championships (NAOC) are always the most momentous orienteering event on the calendar, on the whole continent. This year’s Choose Your Adventure Series kicks off this weekend with SummerFEST in Lakewood! Registration for the entire series is now open. Many popular events are returning again this year: SummerFEST, Corn Maze, and Vampire-O! This year’s Pig War Challenge (and Western Canadian O’ Champs) event is coming up July 7 and 8 in Vancouver BC. Cascade is the defending champion and WE NEED YOUR HELP to keep this lovely trophy (created by Sherri Brady) in the US. Three northwest orienteering clubs have joined together to put on 9 events in 9 days, for one memorable orienteering road trip for those who complete it all! Welcome to the new website! This project began by interviewing users of this site from a variety of backgrounds, from newcomer orienteers to long-time veterans. The focus of these interviews was to drill down to what each person’s goals and frustrations were when visiting the current site at the time. What became clear through these interviews is that it would be a challenge to both answer the many questions newcomers had, while simultaneously serving efficient information to veterans.
